Hosanna, Jo Ellen Turner, William Hanson, Bob Brundage, Ed White ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: Richard Lorig, Bernard Berardini, Karl Nollenberger, Margaret Freeman, John Criswell, Marilee Smith, James Hoffbauer , and many members of the Englewood Employees' Association The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Hosanna. The roll was called by the Recording Secretary upon which it was determined that all members were present. * * * * Rev. Hosanna called to order the hearing on the cation plan. I Attorney John Criswell, representing Kathy Bueno, Carolyne Boettger aqd Barbara Penney, stated the sequence of events leading up to the ! hearing as he understood them. He, too, requested a delay in the hearing. Upon the completion of Mr . Criswell's remarks, MR. WHITE MOVED, AND MR. HANSON SECONDED, TO DELAY THE HEARING OF THE APPEALS TO THE NEW JOB CLASSIFICATION PLAN UNTIL THE REGULAR MEETING OF JANUARY 20, 1976. After some discussion, the motion was amended to state that THE HEARING WOULD BE DELAYED UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR. Ayes: Nays: The motion carried. Hosanna, Turner, Hanson, Brundage, White None City Attorney, Bernard Berardini, suggested that a specific date by which employees may still file an appeal be set. 284 James Hoffbauer, Parks Department~ stated that many of the Parks employees were under the misconception that they would not be able to file an appeal until later in the year. He felt it would be good to state a definite deadline for appeals. MR. WHITE MOVED, AND MR. BRUNDAGE SECONDED, TO SET THE DEADLINE FOR APPEALS TO THE PROPOSED JOB CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR DECEMBER 31, 1976. Ayes: White, Brundage Nays: Hosanna, Turner, Hanson The motion failed to carry. MRS. TURNER MOVED, AND MR. WHITE SECONDED, TO SET THE DEADLINE FOR APPEALS TO THE PROPOSED J OB CLASSIFICATIO N PLAN FOR DECEMBER 30, 1976. The motion carried. Ayes: Hosanna, Turner, Hanson, Brundage, White Nays: None * * * * Under Personnel Director's Choice, Mr. Lorig told the Board that the Police Department has bu d geted an additional Captain position for next year and requested that the Board g ive its approval for proceeding with the oral board. MR. BRUNDAGE MOVED, AND MR. WHITE SECONDED, THAT THE PERSONNEL AND POLICE DEPARTMENT PROCEED WITH THE ORAL BOARD EXAMINATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF CAPTAIN IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. The motion carried. Ayes: Hosanna, Turner, Hanson, Brundage, White Nays: None * * * * Under Commissioners' Choice, Rev. Hosanna, referring to the appeals on the job classification plan, requested that all information be forwarded to the Board as iis received to facilitate easier study of the appeals. Mr. Brundage asked for a condensation of positions that were raised or lowered in g rade. * * * * Margaret Freeman was present representing the Englewood Employees' Association and had nothing to discuss. * * * * MR. WHITE MOVED, AND MR. BRU NDAGE SECONDED, TO CERTIFY THE FOLLOWI NG ELIGIBILITY LISTS: 1.) Computer Operator -Finance 2.) Leadworker - Water Distribution 3.) Supervisor -Parks 4.)
