After closing comments from Peter Vargas, the City submitted a Motion To Reconsider the Board of Career Service Commissioners' ruling of August 5, 1985, that shift bidding is a mandatory sub- ject of negotiations pursuant to the Englewood City Charter. A short recess was taken and the Board reconvened. It was de- cided that the Board would allow Mr. Olsen, ten minutes to argue the City's Motion to Reconsider the Board's ruling that shift bidding is a mandatory subject of negotiations, and allow a ten minute rebuttal. After hearing issues from both sides, the Board adjourned into Executive Session and reconvened on August 7, 1985 to issue recommendations concerning the 1986-87 contract between EPBA and the City of Englewood, (see the attached document), and to rule on the City's requested Motion. //0 In order of business, a Motion was introduced by Commissioner Fitzpatrick, and commissioner Turner seconded, to deny the City's Motion to Reconsider the Board's ruling that shift bidding is a mandatory subject of negotiations." Commissioner Fitzpatrick then moved and Commissioner Turner seconded that the attached recommendations be incorporated into the 1986/87 Contract between the City of Englewood and the Engle- wood Police Benefit Assoc i ation. The vote was unanimous. Commissioner Fitzpatrick moved to adjourn. Cathy Pdkraka, Chairperson Secretary
