Michael Gruninger, EFFA President Gary Kasson, EPBA Chairperson Harry Fleenor opened the hearing. A roll call was taken and a quorum was established. Tom Buescher, Attorney for the Appellant, gave opening statements to the Board regarding the change in language of the EPBA contracts . Dan Brotzman, Assistant City Attorney and City representative, made opeing comments regarding the filing timeliness of the grievance and the language of the contracts. Attorney Buescher then proceeded with testimony from two wit- nesses. The City and the Board members cross-examined the wit- nesses. There was no re-direct examination. A total of four exhibits were entered by the Appellant. Attorney Brotzman called for testimony from two witnesses. There was no cross-examination. The Appellant's Attorney requested a short break and reconvened with all members present. The Appellant's Attorney proceeded with rebuttal and called for testimony from one witness. The City cross examined and the Ap- pellant's Attorney re-directed the witness. The Appellant's Attorney gave closing comments. The City then presented their closing comments. The Appellant's Attorney and the City issed rebuttal. The Board recessed into closed session to consider the testimony and evidence. Chairman Fleenor stated that a written decision would be presented at the regular meeting on May 19, 1988 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The Recording Secretary will noti- fy all interested parties. • • • Commissioner Turner moved and Commissioner Belt seconded that the Knoth hearing was adjourned •
