Chairman Harry Fleenor opened the hearing. A roll call was taken
and a quorum was established. The order of business was to hear
the contract grievance filed by Robert Molloy.
Peter Juenemann, EEA President and Appellant Representation, ad-
dressed the board and requested that Mr. Molloy's grievance be
granted. The request for access to the City's files had not been
granted, therefore, the Appellant's case was not prepared.
Nancy Reid, Assistant City Attorney and City representative,
refuted any impropriety on the City's part and requested evidence
be brought forth to prove any statements of impropriety. Ms.
Reid asked that the Board grant a continuance for preparation of
the case.
The Board gave the City direction to allow Mr. Molloy access to
the City files.
Chairman Fleenor questioned the relief sought for this grievance.
After discussion, Mr. Molloy was asked to amend his grievance
within 5 days stating specific action or relief sought.
Commissioner Turner moved to continue the hearing on Thursday,
June 30, 1988 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Commissioner
Belt seconded. The motion carried.
