HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-06-02 CSB SPECIAL HEARING• • • PRESENT: ABSENT: OTHERS: BOARD OF CAREER SERVICE COMMISSIONERS June 2, 1988 SPECIAL HEARING William Belt, Janet Kerzic, JoEllen Turner, Harry Fleenor, Jr. Carla Davidson Robert Molloy, EEA Peter Juenemann, EEA President Nancy Reid, Assistant City Attorney Stan Damas, Attorney for Board Searl Brier, Personnel Assistant Kells Waggoner, Public Works Director James Booras, ServiCemter Superintendent Pat White, Garage Supervisor Roy Swanson, AFSCME Rep Chairman Harry Fleenor opened the hearing. A roll call was taken and a quorum was established. The order of business was to hear the contract grievance filed by Robert Molloy. Peter Juenemann, EEA President and Appellant Representation, ad- dressed the board and requested that Mr. Molloy's grievance be granted. The request for access to the City's files had not been granted, therefore, the Appellant's case was not prepared. Nancy Reid, Assistant City Attorney and City representative, refuted any impropriety on the City's part and requested evidence be brought forth to prove any statements of impropriety. Ms. Reid asked that the Board grant a continuance for preparation of the case. The Board gave the City direction to allow Mr. Molloy access to the City files. Chairman Fleenor questioned the relief sought for this grievance. After discussion, Mr. Molloy was asked to amend his grievance within 5 days stating specific action or relief sought. Commissioner Turner moved to continue the hearing on Thursday, June 30, 1988 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Commissioner Belt seconded. The motion carried. The hearing was adjourned •
