HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-06-09 CSB SPECIAL HEARING [1]• • • PRESENT: ABSENT: OTHERS: BOARD OF CAREER SERVICE COMMISSIONERS June 9, 1988 SPECIAL HEARING William Belt, Janet Kerzic, JoEllen _Turner, Carla Davidson, Harry Fleenor, Jr. None Robert Molloy, EEA Peter Juenemann, EEA President Nancy Reid, Assistant City Attorney Stan Damas, Attorney for Board Mel BeVirt, Employee Relations Director Searl Brier, Personnel Assistant Kells Waggoner, Public Works Director James Booras, ServiCemter Superintendent Pat White, Garage Supervisor Roy Swanson, AFSCME Rep Chairman Harry Fleenor opened the hearing. A roll call was taken and a quorum was established. Nancy Reid, Assistant City Attorney and City Representation, made opening statements regarding the sub-standard work performance and subsequent disciplinary action . Peter Juenemann, EEA President and Appellant Representation, opened by asking for a reduction or removal of the disciplinary action. The City called two (2) witnesses to give testimony and submitted twelve (12) exhibits. The Appellant called for testimony from three (3) witnesses and submitted three (3) exhibits, one (1) was stricken from the record by the Board. The City proceeded with rebuttal and called for testimony from one witness. The Appellant cross-examined and the City re- directed the witness. Both parties presented closing arguments. Chairman Fleenor stated the Board's decision would be issued at a later date.
