BOARD OF CAREER SERVICE COMMISSIONERS
September 15, 1988
REGULAR MEETING
PRESENT: Carla Davidson, William Belt, Janet Kerzic, JoEllen
Turner, Harry M. Fleenor, Jr.
ABSENT: None
OTHERS: Ron Beck, Police Chief Bob Holmes
Chairperson Harry Fleenor opened the meeting. A roll call was
taken and a quorum was established.
The first order of business was the decision on the contract
grievance filed by Ron Beck. Chairman Fleenor read the decision
into the record. Commissioner Turner moved to accept the decision
as attached. Commissioner Kerzic seconded. The motion carried.
Commissioner Belt moved to approve the minutes of July 21, 1988.
Commissioner Turner seconded. The motion carried .
Commissioner Belt moved to approve the minutes of August 31,
1988. Commissioner Kerzic seconded. The motion carried.
There were no members present for Association's Choice.
The next order of business was City Manager's Choice. No business
was brought before the Board.
Under Commissioner's Choice, there was no old business. Under
new business, Commissioner Kerzic suggested decisions made by
the Board should be written as a group and not be the responsibility
of one individual. Commissioner Davidson requested information on
name plates.
The budget for July and August was reviewed and accepted.
Commissioner Kerzic moved to pay Damas and Smith $146.70. Commissioner
Belt seconded. The motion carried.
There was discussion regarding the credit on record with Caplan
and Earnest.
Since there were no unscheduled visitors, the meeting was adjourned .
