Fleenor, Jr. Wi 11 i am Be 1t OTHERS: Officer Gordon Madonna Chairman Harry Fleenor opened the meeting. A roll call was taken and a quorum established. Commissioner Turner moved to approve the minutes of September 15, 1988. Commissioner Kerzic seconded. The motion carried. Association's Choice: Peter Juenemann, EEA/AFSCME President and Michael Gruninger, EFFA President, were absent. Officer Gordon Madonna, EPBA President, was present and asked if he might present an overtime issue. The Chief of Police has directed that Englewood Police Officers are not to be paid for overtime for appearing before Career Service Board. The Board expressed concern regarding the overtime issue but did not feel they should hear Officer Madonna's presentation without the filing of an actual grievance. Commissioner Kerzic moved to deny Officer Madonna's presentation to the Board. Commissioner Davidson seconded. The motion carried . The next order of business was City Manager's Choice. No one was present from the City Administration and no business was brought before the Board. Under Commissioner's Choice, Old Business, Commissioner Turner moved that a letter be sent to the Mayor and City Council Members regarding payment of the Caplan and Earnest bill of $1,167.79. Commissioner Kerzic seconded. The motion carried. Under New Business, the budgets for September and October were reviewed and accepted. The Board directed the Recording Secretary to research the beginning balance of the October, Damas and Smith statement. Chairman Fleenor moved to delay payment of the Damas and Smith bill until research was completed and questions regarding the beginning balance were answered. Commissioner Davidson seconded. The motion carried. Commissioner Kerzic moved to pay Caplan and Earnest $1,167.79. Commissioner Davidson seconded. The motion carried. Commissioner Turner read a letter into the record, from the Board's Attorney, Stan Damas. Since there were no unscheduled visitors, the meeting was adjourned . Chairman, Harry M.
