BOARD OF CAREER SERVICE COMMISSIONERS
March 17, 1988

Chairperson Harry Fleenor opened the meeting. A roll call was
taken and a quorum was established.
Commissioner Kerzic moved to approve the minutes of January 21,
1988. Commissioner Turner seconded. The motion carried.
Next item on the agenda was Association's Choice. Peter Juene-
mann was not present. Gordon Madonna extended a welcome to the
new Board members. Mike Gruninger also extended a welcome to the
new Board member and handed out a copy of the EFFA and City of
Englewood contract for 1988, 89, and 90 .
The next order of business was City Manager's Choice. Mel BeVirt
was present on behalf of the City to welcome the new members.
Under Commissioner's Choice, Old Business, Commissioner Turner
moved and Commissioner Kerzic seconded that a letter be sent to
the Mayor and City Council requesting a transfer of funds to pur-
chase a 4 drawer, 36 11 lateral, HON file cabinet in the amount of
$237.50 for the Career Service Board records. The motion car-
ried. Commissioner Kerzic moved and Commissioner Turner seconded
that is funds were appropriated, the file cabinet be purchased.
The motion carried.
Under new business, Commissioner Kerzic moved to accept the
January budget. Commissioner Turner seconded. The motion
carried.
Chairman Fleenor called for a vote on the bill for Caplan and
Earnest. Commissioner Turner moved and Commissioner Kerzic
seconded to pay the full balance of $648.45.
Chairman Fleenor noted for the record, a letter dated 12/3/81
from Damas and Smith reg arding a legal opinion had been received.
Chairman Fleenor requested the Board select an Assistant Chair-
person. Commissioner Turner suggested that decision be delayed
until the next meeting and put on the agenda.
