HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-05-13 CSB MINUTESCAREER SERVICE BOARD MINUTES May 13, 1993 The regular meeting of the Board of Career Service opened at 6:30 p.m. Present: Members Fleenor, Kerzic, Belt and Turner. Ms. Davidson was absent. Also present: Ms. Nadine Finn; her attorney, Richard Goff, Randie L. Barthlome, Director of Administrative Services, Martin Semple, attorney for the City; Allan Stanley, Director of Safety Services; and Chris Olson, Executive Officer. The Minutes from April 22, 1993 were approved as written. Under Old Business, the continuation of the hearing of the Grievance filed by Nadine Finn was begun. Ms. Geer denied ever "clicking" as a dispatcher, and denied it was a common practice. Ms. Finn testified it was common and detailed occasions when it had happened. Mr. Goff questioned "progressive discipline" and whether procedure had been followed in this case by Safety Services. Ms. Finn could have been offered use of holiday pay in lieu of suspension. Mr. Semple presented evidence that clicking is not accepted, and is difficult to trace when it does occur. The hearing was continued to June 10 (later changed to June 24). There was no new business. The Board approved the expenditure report, but asked for a correction on the Legal Services balance. The Board approved payment of Mr. Damas's bill. The meeting adjourned at 9:50 p.m.
