HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-08-22 EC MEMO [2]MEMORANDUM
TO: Martin Semple, Acting City Attorney
FROM: Loucrishia Ellis, City Clerk
DATE: August22, 1994
SUBJECT: Cost Comparison -Mail Ballot Election vs Coordinated Election
Projected election costs are based on unknown variables, i.e ., the number of
registered electors in the City at the time of the election and the size of the
ballot, which depends upon the number of questions posed by the City.
The following is an estimate of election costs, which at this point are very rough.
Coordinated election: $18,000 to $20,000
Mail ballot: $ 30,000 to $35,000
Regardless of the final figures however, it is evident that conducting a mail ballot
election will be more costly.
