As a result an agreement has been reached by the City and EPBA. I have attached a copy of the September 24, 1994 annotated agenda and the Memorandum of Understanding . Please remove , from the November 8 , 1994 ballot, "QUESTION NO. 2 -THE QUESTION OF THE AMOUNT OF PAY RAISE AUTHORIZED FOR THE ENGLEWOOD POLICE BENEFIT ASSOCIATION, FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE LODGE #22, CONTRACT FOR THE YEARS OF 1995 AND 1996." MONDAY MORNING SEPTEMBER 26, 1994 AND CANCEL THE ELECTION ON THE EPBA IMPASSE IF THAT SIGNATURE IS OBTAINED. Vote results: Ayes: Counal Members Hathaway, Habenicht. Bums, Gulley Nays: Council Members Vonnittag, Wiggins, Waggoner Motion carried. -,,,-,1<..;,. •• • MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Wages will be based on the median with a cap of 2.25% on January 1, 1995 and 1.25% on July 1, 1995. For example, if the median were to come in at 3%, the increase would be 2.25% on January 1, 1995 and 0.75% on July 1, 1995. If median were to be 4%, then the cap would apply and it would be 2.25% on January 1, 1995 and 1.25% on July 1, 1995. The recommendation of the Career Service Board is accepted for no increase on the base wage rate for a probationary police officer hired on or after January 1, 1995 and the five step progression. Retirement medical insurance will be up to $100 per month for new retirees January 1, 1995. There will be negotiations on salary and health and dental benefits in 1995 for 1996 on the timetable for negotiations as specified in the charter. The Englewood Police Benefit Association and the City agree to cancel the election on EPBA negotiations scheduled for November 8, 1994 and to notify the County Clerk of Arapahoe County of the cancellation by 8:00 am September 26, 1994. • The signature by the EPBA president represents that he has authority from • his membership to ratify this agreement by his signature. The City Manager's signature indicates authority from the City Council to ratify this agreement.
