strategic plan completed for wide public distribution by June of
1995, with one or more action plans ready for implementation.
As a member of a government board, commission, agency, or simply
because you are an active citizen in Englewood, your viewpoint is
very important to us . We would appreciate your thoughtful answers t o
the following questions, which will of course not be identified with
you personally.
1) What are your thoughts regarding the above expanded vision?

goals agree with the mission expanded above?
3) How does your board, commission, agency o r position measure
s u ccess?
4) Regarding question 2); would you change anything, i.e. the
r espons ibilities, the role, the number of members, method of
se le c tion, or the way your board, co mmi ss ion, agency or position is
administered or does it's job .
5) Do you see any need for an active program of community leadership

Englewood -Focusing on
Tomorrow, formerly known as
Englewood by Design, is a volunteer
group of Englewood residents and
business people who share a
common concern about the future of
the community. Formed in early
1993, the group has been successful
in building a broad base of
involvement. But its work is . only
beginning.
E-FOT is not an agency of the
City government, but it is working
side-by-side with the City and local
businesses, . agencies, and residents
to compile a grassroots plan for the
future. Our mission statement is:
"To gather broad public input to
identify needs of Englewood and to
develop a dynamic long-term plan
for the future of Englewood,
including short-term action plans.".
The project can only be
successful if we are able to reach a
large number of people from all
walks of life. We need your help to
make this project truly meaningful
and beneficial.

Englewood -Focusing on
Tomorrow wi 11 be gathering ideas
from as many people as possible in
late 1994 and early 1995.
Volunteers will then take the input
received and develop a plan with a
very specific program for action. It
will measure success in how well the
plans reflect the input from the
public and in how many ideas for
programs and projects are turned
into action.
HOW aN I GH INVOl~D!
E-FOT will be offering the
people and businesses in Englewood
a number of opportunities to share
ideas and to help with committees.
We will be interviewing people in
public places, hosting small group
discussions, mailing questionnaires,
and conducting public meetings.
To get involved in this exciting
project, fi 11 out both sides of the.
attached form and mail it in, or call
762-2658.
