Not only is your dedication to customer service apparent and outstanding, but obviously something you instill in your entire department. There is one item still left to be done--I received a call from customer service requesting the bill for sewer service that we had already paid before we discovered the extent of the problem. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Again, we really appreciate the manner in which this incident was handled. I appreciated hearing from you. I strongly agree with you on the need to ensure that our drinking water standards reflect a balance between public safety and reasonable regulation. Mandates from the SDWA and other federal laws are taking an ever-increasing toll on the ability of state and local governments to provide basic services for their citizens. You will be pleased to know that I have signed on as a cosponsor of H.R. 3392. This measure recognizes that responsible science and cost-effective regulation aimed at the protection of legitimate human health risk should be the cornerstone of a federal safe drinking water program. Again, thank you for getting in touch. I am glad to see that we agree on this matter, and I hope you will continue to let me know of your additional concerns in the future. Best regards.
