gardening preparation. The goals of the seminars would be to
educate residents to preserve natural resources, reduce waste,
encourage environmental responsibility, and foster pride in the
community.
Resources and technical information could be provided by
institutions such as the Botanic Gardens, CSU, Arapahoe Extension
Service (Master Gardeners), private nurseries and tree services,
and the City Forester.
Marketing of the workshops would be done via the Englewood
Citizen and the Englewood Herald. Also, both the Englewood
Library and Recreation Center could be used, as well as direct
marketing at other events.
A committee of Commission members agreed to meet and begin
planning for the first seminar, which will take place this fall .
