The following issues were discussed at the September 13,

1. Communications and Bills: Glazier distributed a parade
entry form and requested direction regarding the
Commission's desire to participate. Discussion ensued. It
was decided that if eight or more members participated, the
Commission should enter as a marching unit. The Commission
also wanted to purchase 1000 small Frisbees made out of
recycled plastic to be handed out along the parade route.
Glazier said he would order the Frisbees.
2. Municipal Solid Waste Planning: Maes reported the
Committee was continuing with its work to educate the
members about solid waste issues and solutions. She went on
to report that over the next several weeks the Committee
would be working out a long term agenda that would
eventually produce a MSW Plan to be presented to the whole

3. Proud Property Program: R. Davis discussed the Proud
Property Program results and reaction from participants. •
She requested that Glazier schedule a time when awards and
recognition could be given to participants at a City Council
meeting. Glazier said he would be able to do that. The
Commission then discussed awards for the participants. They
decided to give an eighty dollar gift certificate to the
first place property, forty dollars to the second place
property, and to the third place property a twenty dollar
certificate. The multi-family property was to receive a
$50.00 certificate and a plaque to the winning business
property. Glazier stated he would purchase the certificates
and plaque.
4. Other Business: Glazier reminded the Commission
that plans had been finalized for the Leaf and Tire Drop-off
Program to be co-sponsored with the City of Littleton again
this year. He announced the dates as the last two Saturdays
in October and the first two Saturdays in November. Glazier
requested that all members plan to volunteer for some of the
times to help ensure a smooth running program.
