Clean, Green & Proud Commission • City of Englewood 3400 South Elati Street • Englewood, CO 80110 • (303) 762-2348 3. Education Committee; R. Davis distributed a overview of • the committee's activities. Davis explained that the committee has lined up two workshops to be presented in April and May. The workshops will offer xeroscaping, landscaping and other gardening information. Davis suggested that as a gardening demonstration plot the Commission use a City park garden and then adopt that plot to maintain through out the summer. Davis also requested that environmental information and Clean, Green, and Proud brochures be made available from the recycling booth. It was suggested that a committee of Commission members get together to design the revised Clean, Green, and Proud brochure. Also, the committee would draft a letter to distribute to all Neighborhood Watch Captains informing them of programs that the Commission could be involved with. Roth, Russell, Joyce, Jensen and Vormittag volunteered to work on the committee. Glazier mentioned that the City had received a grant from the EPA to provide a waste management workshop for small to medium sized businesses. Glazier stated that the staff had decided the original intent of the grant was no longer feasible and suggested that maybe the money would be used for other environmental programs. Glazier stated he would check with the EPA to see if that was allowed and report back to the Commission. A committee was selected to propose programs if indeed the EPA would allow the $3,000.00 to be put for other purposes. Golombek, Russell, and Maes volunteered if a committee was needed. • •
