KEEP ENGLEWOOD BEAUTIFUL
January 8, 2002
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Brereton called the regular meeting of the Keep Englewood Beautiful Commission to
order at 6:40 p .m .

Nabholz, Roth, Stankorb, and White

II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Roth moved;
Mr. Fish seconded:
THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 9, 2001 MEETING BE APPROVED AS WRITIEN.
Motion carried.
Mr. Roth stated he was present at the November 14, 2001 meeting and asked that the
Minutes be changed to reflect his attendance.
Ms. Bippus moved;
Mr. Brereton seconded:
THE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 14, 2001 BE APPROVED AS AMENDED.
Motion carried.
Ill. VOLUNTEER HOURS
Mr. Donnelly distributed and collected volunteer hour forms.
IV. GOOD NEIGHBOR DAYS
Mr. Donnelly asked the Commission to start thinking about the program and how the
Commission would like to improve the process.

V. ELECTIONS
Mr. Hu ffaker moved;
Mr. Br ereton sec onded :
TO ELECT MR. McCAHILL AS CHAIR.
Motion carried.
Mr. Roth moved;
Ms. Bippus seconded:
TO ELECT MS. FERBER AS VICE CHAIR.
Motion carried .
VI. 2002 CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Mr. Donnelly distributed 2002 calendars . The Commission discussed current programs and
scheduled event dates . Mr. Brereton volunteered to chair the 2002 golf tournament, and
Mr. Mccahill volunteered to chair the Good Neighbor Day event.
Mr. Donnelly proposed a half-day retreat to further discuss current programs and possible
new pr og rams the Commission woul d like to undertake. It could also be a time to
reconsider the Commission's mission statement. Discussion ensued. The Commission
decided to held the retreat on March 23, 8 a.m. -noon at the Englewood Civic Center.
Mr. Huffaker and Ms. Bippus volunteered to develop an agenda and facilitate the retreat.
VII. CHAIR'S CHOICE
Mr. Brereton stated he is working on a recycling directory for Englewood.
VIII. COMMISSIONER'S CHOICE
Ms. Berens asked the Commissioners to remove her pager number from their directory.
Her phone number is 303-789-2508.
Ms. Nabholz stated she was still the Commission 's voice to City Council, and that her 2002
attendance record would not be what it was for 2001 .
IX. ADIOURN

adjourned at 7:35 p.m .
