CALL TO ORDER The Keep Englewood Beautiful Commission members enjoyed a potluck dinner at the home of Mr. Eric Crotty, 1313 East Cornell Avenue. The following members were in attendance at the potluck/regular meeting . Present: Absent: Staff: Nabholz , Crotty , Edwards, Howard, Kinton, Nicholas, Roth , Huffaker, Olson, Bippus, Ferber, Stankorb Planner Anthony Fruchtl II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES No quorum was present to approve the minutes of August 12 , 2003. This action was carried over to the regular meeting of October 14, 2003. III. VOLUNTEER HOURS Last month's volunteer-hour sheets were collected. Blank forms were available for distribution . IV. GOOD NEIGHBOR DAYS It was another successful year for the program. As in the past, all remaining coupons were given to Code Enforcement for distribution. V. HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE The sign -up sheet for September 13th was circulated for sign-up verification. VI. SOUTH PLATTE RIVER CLEANUP Mr. Fruchtl stated that Dean Huffaker would chair the South Platte River Cleanup on behalf of KEB. VII. LEAF AND TIRE DROP-OFF Mr. Fruchtl noted that he had been in contact with Co-chair Bippus to let her know the dates of the Leaf and Tire Drop-off (November 1st and 8th). Co-chair Bippus and Olson will gather vol- unteers for the event at the October meeting . A decision needs to be made by October or November. IX. STAFF'S CHOICE Mr. Fruchtl noted that the Humane Society refused to remove their tents located in the parking lot. This decision was made by the Humane Society on Friday, September 5t\ at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Fruchtl noted he spoke with the Humane Society staff and reached an alternative route. Mr. Fruchtl also noted that approximately 80 vehicles passed through and dropped off Hazardous Household Waste. XII. CHAIR'S CHOICE The Chair (Ms. Ferber) was unable to attend the meeting. She contacted Mr. Fruchtl earlier in the day . XIII. COMMISSIONER'S CHOICE None of the Commissioners present raised issues for discussion. XIV. ADJOURN There was no Furth 7:45 .m .
