• He had spoken with Mr. Fruchtl about the 5-K event'
• He also spoke with traffic officers regarding the 5-K;
• Thought the run was to be on a 5-K trail;
• There will be problems with the run being on a trail open to the public -people will get
in the way of an organized race.
• The race should start and end at the same location;
• Should be scheduled some time in August;
• Cautioned there may be a challenge of not having enough police officers to cover the
streets (cou rse of the race).

• Unable at this time to commit officers to the event;
• Commissioners can man barricades/wear orange vests
• EPD is not willing to block traffic flow on Belleview A venue;
• Suggests keep race off streets;
• May need to have it on-street if participation is too big
Ms . Ferber wanted to discuss hiring a management company in regard to the 5-K Run. She in-
quired about the cost of BKB and what is included in this cost. Mr. Kinton responded that $25
pe r person should be the maximum charge to cover all labor and charges to oversee the Run. He
also discussed inclusion of the Run on two regional event calendars.
Mr. Woodward commented that he was looking for a "family-fun-run" -something not as grand
as has been suggested . Mr. Woodward suggested the KEB needs more information from the
