KEEP ENGLEWOOD BEAUTIFUL April 13, 2004 CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Keep Englewood Beautiful Commission was called to order at 6:35 p.m. in the City Council Conference Room of the Englewood Civic Center. Present: Eric Crotty, Samara Ferber, Deborah Howard, Daryl Kinton, Linda Olson, Valerie Passarini, Don Roth, Olga Wolosyn , Jim Woodward Absent: Jacqueline Edwards , Dooley Gehr, Ann Nabholz, Lee Truong Staff: Anthony Fruchtl, Planner II. 5-K RUN August 28, 2004 The 5-K Run was brought forward for discussion. The date selected for the run is August 28. Assistance will be provided by Matt Bendroz and Sandra; they will be invited to participate on the sub-committee . The "Fist Full of Fathers Volunteer" group was discussed. They do not have a 501C-3 designa- tion. Vitamin Cottage provides grants to communities, and someone needs to contact Vitamin Cottage . III. GOLF TOURNAMENT Ms. Edwards has resigned as chair of the Golf Tournament 2004 committee. Mr. Crotty asked that someone volunteer to assume the responsibilities of the Golf Tournament Chair position. Discussion regarding the golf tournament ensued. A subcommittee will meet on April 201h at 7:30 p .m. to discuss the tournament. This subcommittee will consist of Linda Olson, Valerie Passarini, Olga Wolosyn, Daryl Kinton, and alternate Deborah Howard. IV. CELL PHONE RECYCLING Samara Ferber A drop-off point for cell phone recycling will be set up at the Englewood Library . Ms . Ferber will assume responsibility for this project. Recycling reimbursement fees are up to $3 per phone at the present time. The KEB needs to commit to a three-year recycling project. It was sug- gested that this new recycling effort be publicized in the En glewood Citi zen. Kinton moved : Olson seconded: Information regarding the cell phone recycling program be publicized in the Englewood Citizen . GOOD NEIGHBOR DAYS May 15 (Library) June 5 and June 24 (City Center) July 10 and 24 The Good Neighbor Days program was discussed. Coupon distribution was scheduled for May 15, June 5 and 24, and July 10 and 24. The meeting was declared adjourned at 7:54 p.m .
