o Request will be made to include kids' meal coupons in goodie bags
Possession of bibs was discussed. Commission Gorsky looked into having bibs with
KEB' s logo as a "watermark" and found that the cost would be estimated at 25¢ per bib
with a $15 set up charge . Challenge was that there would be a strong likelihood that the
bibs would not be ready in time for the event. These types of bibs are something that
KEB would strongly consider for next year.
Councilman Jim Woodward said, at the request of the commission, that he would ask the
Englewood Recreation Center's permission to hand out pre-registered goodie bags and
their race t-shirt.
Scott Gorsky suggested that during the weekend of the 18th' members of KEB seek indi-
viduals to register for the race at the Englewood Recreation Center. Jim Woodward
woul d also ask the Englewood Recreation Center if that could be a possibility. If a go, we
would need a table, a banner, and members of the commission to volunteer thei r time.
Members of the commission have commented that people are taking registrations from
various locations and this appears to be a good sign. We have yet to get a current count as
to the number of participants we have for the race to date.
A special thank you to Nancy Fenton for providing copies of action plans, responsibility
lists, and posters to members of KEB. Her efforts were truly appreciated. Congratula-
tions to Anthony Fruchtl on the news that his wife was in labor. They are expecting their
first child.
Still need banner with sponsor's logo and KEB Race information. Chair Crotty will con-
tact Valerie Passerini to find out who we need to contact.
Commission went through list of those sponsors who gave prizes last year who hadn't
this year. Members of the commission volunteered to contact those sponsors wh o they
have either a personal or professional history with or whose business is close to their
residence.
V. STAFF CHOICE
Chair Crotty went around and got a commitment of those members present to volunteer
for one or both weekends of the Household Hazardous Waste days scheduled for Sep-
tember 10th and September 17th, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
VI. COMMISSIONER'S CHOICE
Commissioners of KEB expressed their best wishes to KEB Commissioner Cornelia
Humphrys for the recent loss of her father and brother and the news of her youngest son
being in a car accident. We wish her and her son well and look forward to her return at
October's regular meeting.
