the next meeting .
D. Hazardous Waste Roundup
September 8 event was a huge success. There were 3 5 cars that delivered computers.
Sixty-eight cars from Littleton delivered hazardous waste, and 31 from Englewood delivered

Englewood turnout on September 15. It was recommended that a chairperson be
appointed for the event next year.
E. South Platte River Clean Up
Volunteers are needed from the Commission to staff th e event on Saturday, September 29,
8 a.m. to noon. Boyscouts have volunteered. Caribou Coffee is donating coffee; Qdoba is
possibly donating lunch. Volunte er release forms are needed those under 18 years of age.
Maps will be available of the cleanup area. The trash bags, gloves and vests will be
provided. Sunshine Cross volunteered to chair the event, and she will pickup all the
materials at the city offices.

forward to City Council on their behalf.

pervue. This issue is an appropriate subject for the Commission to comment on. Bob
McCaslin stated cats are part of the vicious dog ordinance which Council is currently
considering. He stated he would talk to Mike Flaherty who is heading up that particular
task force.
B. Linda Olson: Events the Commission are doing are very good and they should
continue; however, it would be good to be proactive and bring recommendations forward
to City Council on environmental issues.
C. Holly Montague: Holly presented the idea of having a KEB informational night for
the public.
