RESOLUTION NO. 23
SERIES OF 2025
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NUMBER ONE TO THE
CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on June 24, 2019, City Council adopted Resolution No. 52, Series of 2019,
appointing James Shawn Lewis as City Manager and authorizing execution of a City Manager
Employment Agreement; and
WHEREAS, City Council now desires to amend the City Manager Employment
Agreement regarding retirement contributions and termination for cause standards; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendments align the termination for cause standards with
those contained in the City Attorney Employment Agreement and align the retirement contribution
language with the amendment proposed to the City Attorney Employment Agreement, thereby
promoting consistency and uniformity in the terms of employment for the City’s charter-appointed
officers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. The City of Englewood hereby authorizes execution of Amendment Number
One to the City Manager Employment Agreement, which shall be in substantially the same form
as that attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
Section 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and attest
Amendment Number One to the City Manager Employment Agreement and take such further
action as necessary to implement its provisions.
