(ii) Council Nellber Habenicht: 1. She questioned the ti•line for publishing vacancies on the Library and Liquor Licensing Authority boards. Discussion ensued. 2. She stated she 1s pleased that we still have fireworks within the c011- •1nity. However, she stated a nllllber of citizens had coaented on the fact that the City of Englewood's n ... was not associated with the event and they felt it was lacking SCIIII of the coaaunity spirit experienced when the display was held at Centennial Park. 3. She brought up the subject of the state-wtde tntttattve to ratse the Colorado sales tax. She asked that Council consider supporting the Children Ftrst tntttattve. He wanted to know if he had Council's support to clarify the City's position. Council's position on the project w.s discussed. City Manager Fraser offered to assist Nr. Non-scheduled Visitors (a) Ken Haraldsen, 3018 South Washington Street, objected to the pro- posed woodburning ordinance. He stated he burns wood as a necessity. City Manager Fraser encouraged Mr. Haraldsen to attend Council's study session on July 6, 1992 at which ti111e they will be studying possible woodburning restric- tions. Discussion ensued. Mr . Haraldsen invited Council to attend the Great Pike's Peak Cowboy Poet Gathering in August in Colorado Springs. ,,, - (b) Thomas Burns, Englewood Housing Authority Chairaan, presented the Housing Authority's annual payaent to the City of Englewood in lieu of taxes in the amount of $13,800 and thanked the City for their assistance.
