Evidence exists of the required Publtcatton of Notice of Public Hearing which
appeared 1n the Engle.ood Herald on February 6 1 1992, February 13 1 1992 and
February 20, 1992.
Director Esterly stated that all affected property owners had been notified of
the TOlffl Meeting, Public Hearing, and proposed schedule, and had been provided
with information concerning the District. He presented the proposed schedule
for Paving Dtstrtct No. 35. He provided general background tnforaatton on
Engle.ood's Paving Dtstrtct Progr•. The Ctty of Engle.ood originally tnt-
ttated paving districts tn 1956 tn an effort to upgrade all of the City
streets to City standards.
Council Nellber Van Dyke requested Nr. Esterly to explain a typical Englewood
industrial paving section. Nr. Esterly reviewed the procedure and noted the
taproveants on Navajo and Vinderwere wtll be constructed by the State Highway
Departaent.
Council Nellber Hathaway requested Nr. Esterly to explain the reason a sidewalk
w111 not be constructed on the west stde betwen Oxford and Quincy. He stated
the Ctty has not obtained the required rtgllt-of-way. Ms. Hathaway noted it
.ould allow easter access for the extsttng businesses.

Ken Vancil, 6495 Happy Canyon, Denver, stated he owns property at Navajo l
Quincy. He aaintained he would be losing 30 feet of his property which will

cess to his business.
Director Esterly noted that access on Santa Fe 1s being restricted by the
State Htgti.ly Departllent and the Public Utilities C01111ission. There will no
longer be at-grade railroad crossings along Santa Fe. The reconstruction is
to accoaodate the underpasses which will alter the elevation of Santa Fe.
This leaves the City in the position of negotiating with the State Deparlllent
of Transportation for suitable alternatives. Nr. Esterly encouraged anyone
who wants aore inforaation on the opportunities and options available to call
his office. He also offered the City's assistance with negotiations with the
State Higti.ly Departaent.
Council Nlllber Gulley asked for clarification of the reason they will be using
Navajo on the •off-take• froa Winderaere.
Engineering Manager Kata, noted the Navajo alig-.nt IAS addressed in 1974 by
the Planning C01111ission. It has been a part of the Master Street Plan si~ce
that tiae. Additionally, thts alig11111nt was addressed in 1913 with the ten-
year paving plan, and the adjacent 0111Mrs were nottfted at that ttae of the
intent to include Navajo tn a future paving district .

the Town Meeting, Public Hearing, and proposed schedule, as well as general
infonaatton. He presented the proposed schedule for Paving Dtstrtct No. 35.

an effort to upgrade all of the City streets to City standards.
