Van Dyke at 5:35 p.M. The invocation was given by Council Member Koltay . The
pledge of allegiance was led by Hiyor Van Dyke . Roll Wis called:

Dick Hinson, Executive Director of the Englewood Urban Renewal Authority,
addressed Council regarding the granting of an irrevocable license to the EURA
for the plac ... nt of a sign in the -.dian at U.S.285 and Englewood Parkway.
He reiterated that the sign is essential to the rtdtvelo~nt of the old King
Soopers site, which is under contract to Lincor . He felt that the econo.lc i~act and i~rtance of the sign had been presented to Council previously.
He encouraged the Council to pass the Ordinance on final reading.
Mayor Van Dyke asked if Council had questions for Mr . Hln on . There r
none. She then asked if there wa s anyone In th aud tftee o wished to
address City Council on this Issue. There was no rtSPOns .

SECTION 3. SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONS'rRUCTION OF SIGN
The sign shall be initially constructed in the manner,
s ize, and of the materials described in Exhibit 2 attached
hereto . The CURA shall place on this sign the informational
mutter in conformity with the diagrams described in Exhibit 2
attached hereto. The sign may contain the name of the primary
(anchor) tenants and the development. Any changes in content,
desi0 n, engineering, materials (si ze, style, color, or any
identified specifications on attached Exhibit 2) of sign may be
made only upon approval of Englewood City Council by Resolution.
The City, through its Director of Public Works, shall have
t he riqht to inspect the sign f o r purposes of safety or
conformance with this Agreement at any time upon notice to the
EURh . Should he sign be found to be an imminent danger to the
public or no in compliance with this Agreement, the City shall
notify the EURA . Th City may correct any defect that may be of
iMmine nt danger ~ th ~u blic and bill the EURA or its assignees
of he sign for the cos t of correction.

If this Aqreement is terminated pursuant to this Section
and the CURA fails to remove the sign within thirty (30) days,
the City may remove the sign and the EURA will reimburse the City
for all costs incurred in that removal.
The term of this irrevocable license shall run in
conjunction with the life of the improvements as defined in the
J u n~ 17, 1987 Agr eement for Disposition and Development between
the englewood Urban Renewal Authority and Lincor Properties of
Colorado , Inc. for the property located at Dlock 1, Lot 1, Girard
Plac Subdivision , Ci y of Englewood, County of Arapahoe, State
of Colorado , and this irrevocable license shall terminate upon
suhs antial demolition of said improvements.
This document shall terminate should the EURA fail to
convev Lot 1, Block 1, Girard Place Subdivision, City of
rnql wood, County of Arapahoe , State of Colorado , on or before
Jun 1, 1908 to th d veloper for red velopment.

Cnqlewoorl, at th e expense of indemnitor; (ii) the City of
r.nqlewood , at its option, shall have the sole authority for the
directio n of the defense and shall be the sole judge of the
acce ptability of any compromise or settlement of any claims or
ac t ions agains t the City of Englewood .
The City of Englewood shall give written notice to the EURA
or its assig nee s of any act or occurrence involving a liability
or claim , demand, or item of cost, or , as the case may be,
indemnified agains herein, within sixty (60) days after
occn rrenc of suc h act or occurrence shall have come to City of
englewood 's kn ow ledge. Actual knowledge within sixty (60) days
by th CIIRA , assignees , develope rs , and entitie s using the sign
