The invocation was given by Council Member Higday. The pledge of allegiance was given. Mayor Otis asked for roll call. Upon a call of the roll, the following were present: Council Members Higday, Van Dyke, Kozacek, Bilo, Bradshaw, Otis. Absent: Council Member Vobejda The Mayor declared a quorum present. Also present were: * * * * * * * * City Manager McCown Assistant City Manager Vargas City Attorney Olsen Deputy City Clerk Crow * * * * * * * * Mayor Otis stated that the purpose of this special meeting was t o consider on second reading an ordinance to annex a parcel of property (.51 acres owned by Park Floral Company) to the City o f Englewood to be ut i lized by the proposed Buyer's Club . WHEREAS, on January 10, 1986, a petition to annex addressed to the City Council w:iS received to annex to the City of Englewood a certain unincorporated parcel of land within Arapahoe County, as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, City Council, being familiar with the boundaries of the City of Englewood and taking notice thereof, finds that not less than one-sixth of the perimeter of the area proposed to be annexed is contigoous with the City of Englewood, Colorado; and WHEREAS, the said petition for annexation is signed by the Olo'l'ler of one hundred percent of the property proposed to be annexed, exclusive of streets and alleys; and WHEREAS, City Council finds that a carmuni ty of interest exists bet~o~~een the area to be annexed and the City of Englewood and that said area is urban and is integrated with and capable of being integrated with the City of Englewood; and WHEREAS, the City of Englewood can provide the Olo'l'ler with municipal services; and WHEREAS, City Council finds that the proposed annexation complies with all the applicable provisions of the Colorado 1-tlnicipal Annexation Act of 1965, as amended; N<M, THEREFORE, BE IT OROI\INED BY THE CITY COUI'CIL OF THE CITY OF ENG:.EWOOD, COLORADO, AS FOLLCWS: Section l. 'Itlat the parcel of land located and being part of Arapahoe County, State of Colorado, legally described on Attactment A, is eligible for annexation under the provisions of the Colorado 1-tlnicipal Annexation Act of 1965, as amended, and the same is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Englewood, Colorado. Section 2.
