Project Manager/Office Engineer Kahm, explained in detail the method of
assessm nts relative to construction on the street within the district . He
r vi w d the paving unit prices stating that overall the assessments for
Paving District No. 31 were lower than the revised ordinance .
Mayor Otis stated the purpose of the public hearing was to discuss matters
relative to the assessments and invited property owners to address Council
concerning their assessments.
Ms. Paula 8everidg, 4467 South Clarkson Street, duly sworn, was cone rned about the following:
I . Length of time that residents were given to pay on the cash basi s;
Mayor Otts conffnned that the ti111e fra has been extended to May 31, 1987.
2. Asked ff the Council was happy with the quality of work of the
concrete and pav ment; Dir ctor Ragland stated yes overall the City was please with the work.
3. Inquired if the no parking signs would~ all th way up and down
Clarkson or just on south end; Project Manager Kahm stated the City
will recommend to Cherry Hills Village to include the no parking
signs th 1 ngth of the project.

2. He asked ~ere the bike path would be located; Council M mber Higday
stated that the bike path would not be across from Mr . Hoffhines
property . The property ts owned by Cherry Hills and the bike path
would have to be constructed by Cherry Hills .
3. He asked If the no parking signs were a definite decision; Council
Member Hlgday stated that Cherry Hills Indicates they Intend to put
no parking signs the length of the project.

Hr. Gerald Gibson, 5081 South Clarkson, duly sworn, stated that h was v ry
pl as d with the street and the job don . H asked the following quest ions:
I. He asked If the letter contained the final assessment figure or wou ld
the figure change; Director Ragland replied that revls d assess n
letters will be sent out after the O cember 15th Council etlng and
the assessments would be approximately SI00 .00 low r .
2. If the prop rty owners had a private contractor put In the sldewal
and curb. The City Is not r sponsible for the std walk and curb. Th
property owner Is responsible and would have to replace if needed;
