Romans, Assistant Director -Planning FROM: DATE: January 17, 1979 SUBJECT: St. Patrick's Day Parade For the first time since 1973, the St , Patrick's Day Parade will actually be held this year on March 17th and the Parade Committee hopes Englewood will participate , Mr. Shannon called this morning and said they are a bit late in getting notices out, but they do hope to receive commitments shortly after the first of February in order that they can work out the line up , I told him I would bring it to your attention and that we would get back to him as soon as possible, If we do enter the Horse Car, I think it would be nice if everyone riding in it wore green, Maybe we could buy or rent some green bowlers for the guys, including the driver, and the gals could wear a green jacket, dress or blouse, The entry fee has been increased to $125 this year, As soon as we notify Mr . Shannon that we will be in the Parade, he will send us the entry form and information , Let me know if I can be of assistance. gw • I • - • • J!:n«lnoocl Ci to)-COIUlOil Enclewood.
