In comparing the calls to the Lucky Lady Club wi t h calls to the same establishment
under prior man a gement, we find that only one police call was made during all of 1968
and one call during 1967.
In comparing the types of calls to t he various liquor out lets, we find t hat generally
the calls are of the same type, however, many more of the c alls to t he Lucky Lady are
fights and disturbances and of the nature that requires more oolice t o handle them.
On previous occasions the police department has contacted he presen t man a gemen t
regarding this growing problem. However, more recen tly, the nature of t he disturbances
and fights is more severe.
Last week one of our pol ice officers vas assaulted, attempting to break u p a fight among
patrons of the Lucky Lady Club vho had congregated in he parking lot across the street
from the club.
The increased number of police calls o his establi shmen and the severe nat ure of many
of t he calls is completely out of p roport i on t o he o her liouor ou lets in Englewood.
Apparently our efforts in discussing he probl em wi h he managemen have not resolved
the problems, t herefore , I am bringing his ma er o your a t t en i on for possible counci l
review and am recommending some sus pension of the i r liauor l icense.

is hereby made for greater certainty. Said lease is in default .
